PAVER POOL DECK AND DRIVEWAY GROUTING SERVICES SARASOTA AND BRADENTON

This paver pool deck has been finished with our Light Grey Paver Grout, a perfect colour match for the pavers.

There were a lot of sunken pavers around the perimeter of the pool due to washout of the substrate. The majority of the edge pavers were lifted out and the holes filled and compacted before the pool edge pavers were re-set.

With the remedial work completed we grouted the pool deck, when the paver grout had set the pool deck was given two coats of wet look paver sealer.

The finished results transformed the pool deck and prompted the owner to write a google review saying how the pool deck now looked better than new.

There was a good deal of preparatory work cleaning the pavers prior to the grouting, there was a lot of white calcium and salt deposits around the edges of the pavers particularly at the bottom of the driveway, we treated the affected area with an mild acidic wash prior to grouting.

There were also some oil staining on the pavers this was treated with an oil enzyme before surface cleaning.

The finished result is a smooth clean surface which is ready for sealing, the inset photograph shows what the pavers looked like after sealing.

The preparatory work consisted of cleaning the pavers and removing a lot of the black mold that was growing in the joints. The customer regularly had to pick weeds out of the joints and was looking for a maintenance free solution.

Paver grout is weed and insect resistant which solved the problem at the same time improving the overall look of the pool deck.

Prior to grouting the drainage channel was taped over to avoid the grout falling through the grate and filling up the channel.

With the masking work completed we were able to grout and seal the paver pool deck in one day.

Sealing the pavers helps to protect the paver surface from staining the most common types of stains on brick pavers are engine oil, gum, white calcium and rust blooms from well water.

Most stains can be removed completely, oil stains can be improved considerably but will generally always darken slightly more than the natural color of the paver when sealed.

Once sealed Dirt, mold and algae cannot stick to the paver surface, in addition oil stains can be easily mopped up and removed.

To keep the pavers looking good simply rinse down with a garden hose from time to time to remove surface dust.

This 8 year old brick paver driveway in Waterlefe Bradenton was recently restored, the pavers were deep cleaned, grouted with our Light Grey Grout and then sealed with our advanced Urethane driveway sealer.

Preparatory work consisted of grinding the edge of the gully down to stop water ponding at the end of the driveway.

The pavers were also deep cleaned with a mild acidic wash which helps to restore color to older pavers.

The blue tape is a temporary masking tape we use to cover the drainage channel grating to avoid it becoming filled with grout.

The preparatory work consisted of removing a basketball post and replacing the cut pavers that the post dropped into.

When the pavers and grout are sealed the surface cannot be stained by oil, dirt, or grease, all that will be required to keep them clean is a light rinse with a hose from time to time to wash away any dust.

The pavers were in excellent condition with little or no staining other than a light efflourescence on the copings. We treated this with a mild acidic wash to restore some of the color.

Chiselled edged pavers have a very classy look and we took care not to overfill the grout lines to avoid losing this decorative edge feature of the paver.

The sealer bought out the color of the pavers and added some extra protection that will avoid them getting stained from cooking grease, wine and pets. Sealing also protects pavers from UV and natural environmental staining.

KC Paver Sealer is specifically formulated to assist the case hardening of KC Paver Grout™, the resins in the Urethane coating work their way through the grout adding considerable strength to the joint.

We recommend 2 coats of sealer, the first coat to seal and the second coat to add body, KC Paver sealer comes in both a low lustre finish and a 2 part high gloss finish, the sealer is applied by spray or roller depending on the surface and the type of sealer being used.

KC Paver Sealer is ready for foot traffic within 2hrs, in normal conditions it will take heavy traffic after a period of 24hrs, longer curing times may occur depending on the ambient temperature at the time of sealing.

Cross Linking Urethane sealers are not the same as the paver sealers that you can get from the DIY store, which are xylene/acrylic or water based acrylics. Cheap sealers can turn out to be expensive mistakes particularly if and when things go wrong (visit our paver sealing page to understand what happens when moisture gets trapped under xylene acrylic sealers).
